Thinking about brightening your smile but feeling unsure about the aftercare or cost? You’re not alone. Teeth whitening is a popular and successful way to enhance your smile—but we often hear questions about sensitivity, upkeep and what happens once the treatment is done.
At 7 Pearls Dental, we take the time to walk you through everything—so you know what to expect, what to avoid, and how to make the most of your brilliant results.
How Whitening Works
Whether done in-chair or with custom trays at home, whitening can lift years of staining and leave your teeth visibly brighter. Many patients find it’s a simple way to boost their confidence.
Before starting, we’ll check your oral health and recommend the safest option for you. For at-home kits, we’ll also show you how to apply the gel, care for your trays and protect your gums.
“Whitening should be something you look forward to,” says Dr Anish Malesu (Dental Surgeon). “We help our patients feel confident and well-prepared, with clear instructions and the right tools to get great results.”
Aftercare Tips to Protect Your Results
Whitening is best done in the evening when you’re less likely to eat or drink afterward. After each session, avoid dark-staining foods and drinks (like coffee, red wine, berries and curries), as your teeth are more absorbent than usual. Use a white or clear toothpaste and rinse gently with water.
Mild sensitivity is normal—try tooth mousse between treatments or switch to a sensitive toothpaste like Sensodyne. If it becomes uncomfortable, pause treatment and let us know.
Your Comfort Comes First
Flexible Payment Options
We believe whitening should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer interest-free payment plans through providers like Afterpay, Zip Money, Humm and TLC. We also accept all health funds and have HICAPS for same-day rebates.
