Now Offering IV Sedation

IV Sedation for anxious patientsWhen you think of the word “dentist,” what comes to mind? For too many people around the world, it evokes the idea of pain and fear. We want to take away the obstacles to getting the dental care you need. We’re pleased to share that we now offer intravenous (IV) sedation to our patients.

Administered by a qualified professional, IV sedation is safe and makes it easy for you to complete your treatment. Whether you need a wisdom teeth extraction, have a dental emergency or need any of our other services, you are eligible to have IV sedation.

What to Expect at Your Visit

We focus on making sure that your dental care is comfortable and easy for you. Dentist Dr Anish Malesu and his team are gentle and compassionate. They understand that some people have had negative experiences in visiting the dentist before. We’ll take it slowly, explaining each step to you before we get started. We’ll only begin once you agree that you’re ready.

Afterwards, you’ll be able to eat, drink and speak within 10 minutes. You may feel hazy for about 24 hours. Be sure you have someone to drive you home and stay overnight with you. Refrain from driving, drinking alcohol, signing important documents or using machinery for an entire day.

The Details of Your Sedation

There are two fees involved in having IV sedation. The first covers the equipment and medication used in the process. The second is for the anaesthetist’s fee. Some of the costs can be claimed for those who are eligible for Medicare. We advise you to check with your fund for full details. Contact us today to learn more!
