Injectable Fillers in Newcastle

Closeup injectable fillersIf you’re seeking to rejuvenate your facial appearance without surgery, consider injectable fillers at 7 Pearls Dental. We no longer use collagen for fillers but instead, materials such as hyaluronic acid are used. Hyaluronic acid is a natural product in the skin that has the capacity to hold water and therefore creates a ‘plumpness’ to the skin.

As we get older, the amount of hyaluronic acid reduces and so does its water holding capacity. Hyaluronic acid fillers are safer and better tolerated than collagen and therefore no prior testing for allergy is required.

How Fillers Can Improve Facial Appearance

Fillers are used to plump up or create volume in certain areas of the face, such as the cheeks and lips. Fillers are often used in conjunction with botulinum toxin injections which are used to relax muscles that contribute to fine lines and wrinkles.

Fillers can also be used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles that are permanently formed-in which case only used botulinum toxin may not be beneficial.

You are unique so a pre-assessment is an essential part of deciding whether injectable fillers are right for you. In general injectable fillers can help with a variety of cosmetic and age-related concerns:

  • Lip shaping: definition, plumping, and elevating down-turning mouth corners
  • Nasolabial and labiomental lines (lines that come from the nose to the corners of the mouth and the mouth down to the chin)
  • Glabellar lines (vertical frown lines between the eyebrows)
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Crow’s feet
  • Shaping the cheekbones
  • Shaping of the jawline
  • Reducing defects caused by acne, surgery or trauma

Our clinicians have extensive expertise in the anatomy of the head and neck, as well as facial aesthetics.

You will receive an initial consultation so we can establish what your treatment goals are. We will take a thorough medical history and examine the area you would like treated. At this time, you will also be able to discuss the most appropriate treatment plan to achieve your goals and the costs and potential risks associated with this treatment.

We will take pre-treatment photos so that you can compare the before and after.

We do not treat the following:

  • Pregnant or lactating women
  • Children under 18
  • Any area with significant skin disease such as cold sores
  • Individuals with a history of collagen scarring or connective tissue disease
  • Any emotional, medical or psychiatric condition that might impair judgment
  • Anyone with a history of adverse reactions to filler injections
